Morning tour 18.08.13 with Helle and Jesper (Denmark)  traducción Español aquí.

Our guide Graeme gave us a lovely tour of several controlled cat colony sites in Barcelona.  The volunteers and Council in Barcelona are doing an amazing job securing safe places for the street cats.  On the tour Graeme told us about the humanitarian control programme of Barcelona, the cats and their "personalities".  We saw local neighbourhoods and places that we wouldn't have found otherwise.  The BCN loves Cats Tour is an interesting and new way to discover Barcelona.  Paws up!

Morning tour 7.8.13 with the Natatje, Hanneke and Bridget

On Wednesday 7 August my daughter , mother and me had a cat tour with the Barcelona cats and even though it was a shorter tour than intended ,because it was so warm and a bit too much for my mother and daughter, we found it very interesting and educational.

We had a good view of the street cats and learned a lot about how Barcelona / Catalonia handle in good manner the population .

A lot of other countries could learn a lot of Barcelona / Catalonia how to keep street cats in a control of getting over population .

We were all very suprised and we loved to see and hear how the street cats are getting treated by the vet and some volunteers help out in all the area's with every cat who needs or needed help in any way .
We are from Ireland and have to say they could learn a lot.   Some house cat don't even get the help let alone èven talk about the street cats.

Well done every one in Barcelona / Catalonia who are volunteers and help out with all the cats are in help needed .

I can say it is a good, very interesting tour for people who love cats ,or like to learn more about Barcelona than only the history and fancy buildings and than you learn also why it is not noticed at all that there are more cats around in Barcelona than most people would think, even my 11 year old daughter said it was very interesting to learn , hear and see all this .

So if you are here in Barcelona definetley would say go a head with this tour and let yourself be suprised by the things going on behind all the shops , culture and history in Barcelona.

Thanks for the lovely tour and will be back for sure when it is less warm so we can enjoy the other half of the tour .

07.08.13 Afternoon tour with Deborah (traducción aquí)

On Wednesday the 7th of August, 2013, I was guided around some of Barcelona's feral cat or street cat colonies. It was a wonderful experience and, as a cat lover and fellow feral cat supporter, it made me feel part of a much bigger community than my small part of the world, 80 kilometres from the big city of Barcelona. It did involve a lot of walking, but my guide Graeme said that the tours can easily be tailored to fit the age groups and walking abilities of the participants. I saw parts of Barcelona that you would never normally see and approached tourist sights from a totally different angle than the tourist buses would have taken me. It was great to hear the stories of individual cats and their adventures. I recommend the tours to both cat lovers who happen to be on holiday in Barcelona and also to people involved in cat charities here in Catalunya and Spain who happen to be in Barcelona on holiday or on business.
